Efforts to restrain technological advancement through collective agreements have drawn sharp criticism. Many argue that such moves echo historical attempts by corporations to evade legal frameworks designed to promote fair competition. By seeking exemptions, AI companies might inadvertently sidestep the safeguards that protect consumers and smaller entities from disproportionate power dynamics.
